Veteran trader Kirk Velarde always knew there was a better way to make money than working for someone else. His interest in the stock market led him to begin stocks and options trading in 1997, and he attended the first of his many BetterTrades teaching courses in 2001.

Kirk was obviously a great student, because he was able to retire from his operations job at age 32.

Kirk became a faculty member of BetterTrades in 2003, and his visual representations and teaching style make him one of our most popular instructors.

Kirk's favorite trading strategy is "chicken trades." His philosophy is that there is a trading style and method for anyone who wants to learn, and he finds teaching one of the most rewarding choices he's ever made.
